can't move anything off my SD card

so when I first got my droid 2 I synced it with my desktop pc and it runs windows vista... a month later i rooted it without a computer, about a couple months after that I filled up the memorycard. i was planning to take a whole lot of stuff off it useing my mac... but when I take anything off it copys it to my mac but no space has been freed up... I even tried to delete stuff using the phone but its like it fills the space up after a file is deleted... what do I do?

you could always copy everything off of it, format it, then copy what you want back onto it.

You copy the item to your desktop first, then you drag it from your SD card to the trash to get it off there.
