Solved Can't remove pin lock (Android Pay)

I'm on 5.1 via OTA and reciently added Android Pay which required me to add a lock screen. I just had swipe before.

I wasn't using Android Pay as much as the pin lock was frustrating so I uninstalled Pay thinking that would let me remove the pin lock. Nope.

I've removed all the device administrators and uninstalled Pay and I'm still not able to remove the pin lock.

Thoughts?

This reminds me of the issue with smart lock, but I don't think that was an easy fix

Other than going to your provider or contacting Google..idk...

Idk if they need to go that far. If nothing else, a Factory Reset should clear it up.

Here is a thread on this forum from 2013 stating to Clear Credentials in the Security app and that fixed it. I guess this has been happening since 2013? I saw the same recommendation on a Google website. Not sure what all happens when you clear the security credentials?

Awesome! No problem! This issue seemed to be so much like that other one. Just happy I was able to find that other thread that I remembered @sajokaz posting a fix in!
