cant root droid x with 2.2

Hey guys i have been trying to root this thing and just cant.:icon_evil: I did
have it rooted with the one easy root befor the new update so iM
running the new 2.2 i download all the files and the usb 4.7.1 for
widows 7 @ 64bit i know im doing it right cuz it gos all the way
through to the end but i get a error Message it reads error 6 Failed
to give proper permissions system files what does that mean and how do
i fix i have try the pc mode and others the only one that works is charge ony i know i cant be the only one having this problem thank you for reading plz help.

You can't use Easy Root. Currently the only way to root a 2.2 DX is this

I was able to root my Droid X that I updated to the official 2.2 using an Easy Root method. It worked for me and I have root access and have been able to use all the apps that require root access. Not sure if I am allowed to link to the page as I want to be sure that the developer receives proper credit. I would be more than happy to link to the page once I get some confirmation I guess. Hope this helps.

Oops. Looks like someone posted it right before me. That is the same link I used and I can report that it was successful.
