Can't update, no space???

OK...found the APK files I was seeing in Sandisk Memory Manager.

Plugging my phone into the USB, it shows up as "removable drive J". The apk files were in the directory "Android/data/com.amazon.venezia/cache"

Are these the backups for the apps I downloaded from Amazon or???? And if so, is it safe to delete them??

I spent a couple hours with the phone plugged into the PC this morning REALLY cleaning up my music section, and now show just over a gig of available space.

that is just where amazon downloads your apps, before installing them
deleting should be fine, but doesn't really take that much space, your choice
is amazon working now?
