Car Dock Alternative

I'm the original poster using the Arkon Weighted "Friction Style" Dash Mount & Holder. Yes, you can charge with it although sometimes I have to play with a little bit to get it just right. But it does work so great I wouldn't use anything else for Droid in the car.

It also works fine in landscape. Just remember to tighten up the round knob thingy in the back when you change from portrait to landscape and visa versa.

I don't know what I was thinking yesterday when I said I had to play with the cord when in the holder.

When I went out to the car to go to work after posting I tried it and there was absolutely no problem! The things that hold the Droid in aren't anywhere near where you plug in the charging cable to the phone.

Sorry for the confusion...
