Cars!

Again.. I'm a truck guy so forgive my stupid.. but why are the rear wheels at that angle? (on the lexuses)

that's negative camber. the reason why we have our wheels butterfly like that is so we can run the most aggressive wheels with maximum lip and while doing so our wheels are flush with the fenders.

I don't believe that's the reason for negative camber in a performance point of view. Negative camber WILL let you fit ginormous wheels, but it really won't make it any more aggressive in a straight line. And at that camber, it prolly won't help in the twisties either =P MAYBE for drift....if ur axle doesn't snap first xD

Negative camber was originally for getting more traction when going around a corner at the cost of reduced traction in a straight line.

Course, then came the whole DUB look with the wheels at crazy camber...
imho kinda retarded, but whatever floats ur boat. I guess it's good for a show car.

btw, platinumvip - is the E46 fitted with the asuka design body kit? Christ I love that bimmer so much...

I agree ^^^

I could not own a car with that much negative camber...it would drive me crazy.

Beauty- Which is the DD. Has the basics, a warranty, JDM fog overlays, Intake, Exhaust... I have a drop but want to wait to get spacers to do it right.

I see a few people with RX-8's in here, I have a blue one, same color as my Mitsu, as my daily.
I hate the damn RX-8.
Its a 6 speed but its still slow. Completly stock but still.
the sun visors are held together by magic for about a month (I gave up after 3 sets)
the heat/cold knob stops working. good luck getting an aftermarket radio in there.
I hate cruzing on the interstate at 5000 rpms, I keep looking for 7th gear.
did I mention there slow.
dont get me wrong, I bet there very good at autoX, well balanced, high revs, great suspention.
between 6-9k rpms they have nice power, its just the agony waiting to get to 6k.
slap that tiny rotory in a miata, theres a nice autoX combo.

well compared to the 3gt of course they are slow. but they were never meant for straight line accel... they are fast in the corners.

I havent had 1 single issue on mine, orig motor, sunvisors, etc...

and the hot/cold is a 3 minute fix with a solder iron.

if you dont understand, you dont understand, cuz only PLATINUM CAN!
"Drive slammed roll hard PLATINUM STYLE"

if you think negative camber is only good for a show car... be my guest and come visit us. we do a buck fifty on the freeway no problem. and "DUB" style cars are not the whole negative camber trend setter. it's called Vip style or Bippu style. originated from Japan if you do your research correctly.

oh and btw, yes the e46 m3 has the asuka design kit.

Camber wont help high speed stability... you Toe setting is what helps high speed and straight line stability. Toe in gives more straight line stability, and toe out gives more turn in on an autoX style course.
