That's entirely possible. I know that the settings menu on my Note 4 on VZW was noticeably different from the settings menu on @mountainbikermark's AT&T Note 4 at launch, despite the fact that they were both running the same OS version and etc.

On VZW, we didn't get the option to do a grid instead of a list and a few other things that Mark thought I was crazy for not being able to find.

Yes, I should have included that they were removed on the VZW variants that I have although I do know the setting was not present on the S6 thru Sprint.
