Change to a basic web page view?

Is there a way to switch how you view web pages. Some of my forums would be much quicker if I could view them like on my old BB 8330 Curve.

Not sure with the stock browser but some of the others allow you to change the user agent.

most sites will have a button all the way at the bottom that says "view full" or something like that.
