Changing boot animator

Hi guys...i rooted my phone last night and was trying to change my boot animation. I'm currently using Boot Animator but it doesn't seem to work. I did see an option to remove the stock animation from my sd card. Will this make it work? I'm afraid to do this because it gives me a warning that it is ireversable. Anyone else have success with this that can help? Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Until you get to a point where you can change from the stock kernel on your ROM to something that supports the standard bootanimation.zip format, then you will have to keep your stock bootanimation. Keep reading up on installing CyanogenMod Recovery on your phone next.
