Changing font style on Droid 3

Does anyone have any advice on this? I figured out how to change font size, but not the style. This is to do with viewing my emails on gmail. Can't see to locate any information. Not sure if I need an app or another workaround. The default font for gmail is difficult to read.

AFAIK font change needs root which D3 does not have.
