ChompSmS w/ reg messaging?

Ok so i dl'ed chompsms and i love it but when i get a text, the message appears in chomp and in the stock message too. So i have to go into chomp and read it then go into the message thing that came with the phone and open that too so the alert at the top will be gone. I guess what i'm asking is if theres anyway to disable the stock text messaging and just use chomp?

Go to the original messaging program, and press the menu button (the one with 4 lines, between home and back buttons). Click on settings, and scroll down to notifications and untick the box to disable them.
