Clipboard problem

So when you click "paste from clipboard" it brings up the toast window showing you all the items you have in your clipboard?

Fwiw I don't have a copy to/paste from clipboard option nor have I since installing liberty 1.0, maybe even gummyjar

tappin and a talkin

Ive been having a similar issue, if im renaming a file or if i long press any text box to copy or paste what ever app im in force closes

I have "Copy" and "Paste" and they work perfectly. I don't know what toast window you're talking about.

There lies the confusion here. Copy & Paste do work fine. However, there is another option called "Paste From Clipboard". When you click on this, it brings up the clipboard toast window listing all the items that you have copied to your clipboard. You can then choose which one you want to paste.

This will not work in Liberty because the VClipboard.apk file is missing from /system/apps. I don't know if Kejar & JRummy left this out on purpose or if it was an oversight.

Perhaps I will ask them or if they read this thread, one of them can respond?

VClipboard.apk is likely from the Fission clipboard app (which I believe is a modified "Blur" app). This app adds the "Paste From Clipboard" functionality to the long-press menu. I seem to recall that this app worked no Liberty 1.0, but I can absolutely confirm that it does NOT work on 1.5. The "Paste From Clipboard" option is still visible, but nothing happens when that option is pressed.

Yup, apparently that's the confusion. I have never ever ever seen this functionality before, and stood in line on launch day for my DX. Has this always been there? I don't recall seeing it in my last Android phone, either.

Was that a blur thing released with Froyo? I have never regularly ran a blur ROM since AOSP-based ROMs started coming out, which would explain why I have never seen this before.

99% sure it was a Blur thing. Somehow Angdriod got the .apk to work on Fission and it also worked on Liberty 1.0. It's a great feature, and it's a shame it won't work on Liberty 1.5. I do like Clipper+ as a replacement, but I miss the integration of the option into the default "long press" context menu.

It works fine for me on 1.5. Once I put VClipboard.apk in system/app, I can copy and paste from clipboard just fine.

Where did you get this apk please? I had one but it did not enable this clipboard feature.
