[ROM] **CM9 Discussion/Download Thread**

Imma new member but have flashed roms several times. Gotta few questions. How do u donate money to a developer? How do u rate? Finally does ROM Manager keep this ROM current? Says it is but doesn't match up. Please advise...Thx.

donations here: Donation Tracker - CyanogenMod Forum

cyanogenmod is the most popular community-based ROM. I'm not sure ratings are really relevant; I would say just tell your friends about it if you like it :happy3:. I only use ROM Manager to do manual updates... maybe someone else could chime in.

Hmm, honestly I'm not sure cyanogenmod is the most popular rom for the gnex, aokp and aokp based roms give it a good run for its money

And as far as updates goo manager is good (similar to rom manager but usually more up to date with more roms and you need team win recovery, which is much better than clockwork IMO)

Ok I updated the build again with custom lockscreen wallpapers. Redownload it if you have already downloaded it. Also theres a new blue keys.

Winner,

Been using CM9 for about 2 weeks now, its my first ROM and so far its been a great experience...Thanks.

Question...Ever since I flashed it, I keep getting a message that my GPS is constantly searching for my location. I have updated several times, most recent 6/1, and I still get this.

Thoughts?

Btw winner, since you're the only cyanogenmod developer I know, I think I know a way to kinda fix the compile error you sometimes get with the theme chooser...
Like when you apply a theme for awhile then try to switch to another it says the theme is not correctly compiled and you have to switch to the stock theme, reboot then apply the theme you wanted
I found by just applying stock theme, restarting system ui AND the theme chooser and themes provider app (force close via settings) you avoid the error without a reboot
Not sure if that will really help but I figured I'd put it out there, maybe you could tell whoever is in charge of theme chooser that?

Seems to me like the theme chooser is far from finished. my themes have trouble being cross-compatible with other CM9 devices because of this "incorrectly compiled" error. That's the only fix most of the Theme Chooser themers know of (that I've read), is to apply the stock theme, reboot, then apply the new one; haven't heard of FC'ing the three separate apps, so thanks for that process!

And this:
does apollo support play music?
Doesn't seem like it. Even after reboot, Apollo does not display files that I downloaded through Play Music.
Apollo doesn't support OTA Google Play music right now because of Google Music's API (or lack thereof) [I'm trying to find the source where I last saw this]. But it should play local music that you have downloaded locally to your phone. try clearing data in "Media Storage" (Settings > Apps > "All" tab > Media Storage > Clear Data > Reboot (so the app does a fresh scan for pics and vids; it may take two reboots from what I've experienced on my Xoom tho).
