Connect a Droid 2 to a wireless router

My laptop is windows7. I can pdanet tether but not use my wifi tether. My laptp recognized the droid wifi, conects to network but does not have internet access.
So I use pda-net and tether my droid and use connectify as the wireless hot spot from laptop. My xbox sees it also but will not connect. I used to have a wireless router n-series through my interent service but we moved so now its useless.. unless I can hook router to laptop and pdanet. If my problem sounds difficult its hard to exlain, I can explain through text if someone wants.

my wii sees it too, but won't connect.

With the wireless tether app, at first, it wouldn't connect to my lappy. My lappy saw it but it woulnd't get online.... just like my wii.

I uninstalled wireless tether and reinstalled and lappy now works, wii recognizes again, but won't hook up.

Try updating the driver for the wireless on your laptop, and maybe check the support KB on the manufacturers web site, it sounds more like an issue with the laptop then the device.
