copy files from computer to eris

My first post, after switching from BB Curve to Eris. This looks like a devastating device, but I seem to be in over my head technically.

My current problem is copying image & video files from my laptop to the phone.I followed the user manual, I think, by connecting the USB cable, mounting the SD card, then using drag & drop to copy files (mpg & jpg), but, after unmounting the card & disconnecting the USB cable, the phone reports "no files on the SD card".

Make sure they are the correct file format. The Eris can only play mp4 and 3gp videos.
download meridian media player off of the market, it will make it easier to find and play the files.

Thanks for the response. The files were there all along, sequestered in "album", and now (since the update?) in "camera" and "camcorder". I guess the user manual has that information, but I couldn't find it.
