Corporate Exchange Users: Does your phone stay in sync?

Neither Improved Email nor Touchdown fixed my push problem.

I am using Droid Pro and watching Pro commercials on TV. They keep calling it a business phone but the Exchange issue is annoying. I have my settings set to push, and sync every 30 minutes. Luckily for me, I also keep a Blackberry Bold 9700, so I know when e-mails come in. I've waited over an hour and still no notification on the Pro. I have to manually sync the e-mail to get notification, meaning that if I didn't go searching for the e-mail, I would never know I had one. I hope they fix this.

Neither Improved Email nor Touchdown fixed my push problem.

I have not tried Improved email (or 2.2 vanilla email.apk floating around) yet, but since I already had Touchdown, I am giving it a go. So far it is 4 days since I started using it. It is pushing the emails reliably, I only noticed it takes up to two minutes sometimes to pull the email (while phone is on standby). Sometimes it is instant (together with my outlook), other times - slight delay. I am noticing that if I am doing something on the phone (screen on), emails tend to come instantly. If phone is on standby, it could take up to couple of minutes before I hear the notification, but it comes. Much better than built-in email which sometimes goes for hours with no notification if phone stays on standby.
Will keep watching it. Don't want to return to 2.2 vanilla email as it lacks some important (to me) features from activesync implementation.
Hopefully Motorola will fix the built-in client which otherwise is very nice and polished.

I have since returned my Droid 2 Global and got a replacement before my 30 days is up. And I still have the same problem with email reliability with the new one. Touchdown does help but it's still not close to being reliable. Luckily my old problem of GPS reboots hasn't surfaced YET but then again I haven't loaded many apps yet. I'm pretty sure Motorola is working hard at it because the Motorola thread is pretty busy full of complains. Hopefully they give us a real fix before too long.

I've been using Improved Email for about 5 days and it is syncing my email, calendar and contacts without any problems. However, after installing the app, the calendar didn't sync properly until I power cycled the phone.

I'll try Improved Email. Touchdown isn't reliably pushing the emails for me. I just installed it today and I'm? Already disappointed.

As I said earlier I've been using Improved Email for quite some time. The biggest gripe I have for it over the stock D2G Email app is the inability to search the inbox. I have however gone with reliable push over email search.

Okay well you've convinced me to try it. I just downloaded it and I'll start testing it right away.

Has anybody else actually tried copying the Droid 1 email app to the droid 2? Requires root, but so far (fingers crossed), its been working. The old app sometimes notifies me before Outlook on my PC, the new app (Stock MotoBlur) has yet to push automatically. If I manually refresh they come in...

Since D2G doesn't have an sbf I'm not a huge fan of going the Vanilla non-blur route, but figured trying the old email app might be pretty safe.

So far (I only tried this six hours ago) the old app has been much more consistent, although it does seem that the longer my phone sleeps in my pocket, the further behind it gets from my outlook notifications. It also lacks the new security features, but those features really aren't useful if the new app doesn't sync.

Maybe I'm the only one to go this route, but it seems like it might at least be a temporary fix.

Just got my D2G upgrade from my D1 and the Corporate app worked fine for me, but a coworker got his the day before and it crapped itself for a while.

I can't even get my email to connect. I havent had a problem with any of my previous droids, but I can't connect with the corporate accounts, the regular email app, or even K9. Just gives me an error and says it cant connect.

Anyone else having problems with this?

Anyone has got the Verizon official update yet? Was this problem taken care of?

The Motorola forum is still active with complaints. It is unlikely there is a fix coming anytime soon.

I didn't know there was any Verizon update... I checked on my phone and it says there are no updates available for me. I have Android 2.2. Can you tell me more about the update? I would love for my corporate sync to work better.
