Could the Moto X be Motorola's Phoenix Feather?

Agreed outside of the screen size. I would like a smaller screen in a high end device. Motorola announced a few months ago they were going to show the market that screen size is not everything. I don't want anything bigger than the RAZR M but I feel I am in the minority. I still want my mobile phone to be mobile and not a tablet.

no dude. needs 5" because it will have on screen buttons. the entire point of having a big screen is so you'll want to do more with your phone instead of resulting to a tablet/computer. I mean honestly 4.3" is too small for a screen that'll have on screen buttons because then it becomes a 4" screen. thats why I want 5" because I want to be able to have at least 4.7/4.8" of screen left. 4.3" is way too small.

besides they already said that the X would be the high end device, but not the only device. besides this is America bigger goes with better here so at the end of the day they'll never put a 4.3" screen on top of a quad core snapdragon 800 with 2GB of RAM and a 13 megapixel camera. that'd make the phone thick as hell

This is the article talking about how Motorola plans on making better not bigger phones.

I see you're point of a 5" screen meaning more people will use the phone instead of a tablet but there isn't anything that I would do on a 5" phone that I wouldn't do on a 4" phone or even a 3" phone. Personal preference and I'm also in the category of not seeing how a tablet is a needed device yet. If I'm not comfortable doing something on my phone, I use my laptop.

"Thick as hell," unlikely depending on your definition of thick. My nexus has a 3800mah battery so I don't mind the extra-thickness for power. The difference between the RAZR and MAXX is basically unnoticeable at .04" yet people say it is a huge difference.

It would be interesting for Motorola to release a 4” version and a 5" with the same specs instead of a regular and maxx edition and see how sales go.
