New issue that has me baffled: Gen 1 HTC Droid Incredible. NOT rooted. HTC Sense.

So far I have had two updates, (2), for apps that I have installed and that work, fail to update, citing the following error message.

"Couldn't install on USB storage or SD card."

The built in storage is not full and the SD card is not full. They can certainly handle a few Megabytes worth of an update.

Anyone have an idea of where to start looking to figure out why some updates install perfectly and why some updates, (2), throw up the above error, and not install properly?

You are not alone... so something is up! The apps will not install or restore from titanium either. So don't uninstall them.

Sent from my DROIDX using DroidForums. Android 2.2 rooted

no idea why this happens but to get the app to install you need to unmount the sd card, try install again and it should work. Remount sd card.
