Creator of Humorous Fake Steve Jobs Blog Calls New iPhone and Apple "Boring"

Apple apparently has created the world's first LTE smartphone that DOES NOT support simultaneous LTE data + voice.

iPhone 5 won't support simultaneous voice and data on Verizon or Sprint | The Verge

I
t sounds a bit misleading, but it isn't going to be much better on AT&T. When you make a call on the AT&T version, LTE won't work either and will only work with HSPA+.

wow, that article makes it seem like Apple did this on purpose. This was one of the original features that Apple touted as being able to "talk and surf at the same time", apparently that isn't a big deal for them anymore. It just doesn't make sense why you would intentionally take one step forward with (finally) adding 4G LTE, but then take two steps backwards by not having LTE perform the way it does on EVERY SINGLE OTHER LTE PHONE!

whatever, the ifans are still going to climb over each other to buy these things, and will do so again in 6 months when they release a new color or something insignificant that they will turn into a groundbreaking achievement. What? They can make a phone in black AND white?!?!? Good God they have geniuses over there at Apple, how did they get the capabilities for this, is it some sort of witchcraft? Is it something that Steve has sent back from the great beyond?

Best Display on a phone yet. I am guessing the .3 smaller size will still be better with how clear and the resolution of this display. True 16:9 aspect ratio, Full SRGV color specification. Touch sensors are integrated into the display itself making it thinner, brighter and 30% more sensitive. How many companies take a phone with the same features and reduce it size (Volume) and then add a bunch of new features and fitting it into this smaller size? Sure a lot of these features are what others already offer but they also have larger clunkier devices because of it. Its 802.11 N as well.

how can you say its the best display on a phone yet? have you seen one in person? Just b/c the specs are great doesn't mean that everyone is going to love it. My brother has the 4S, no way could i ever use a screen that small again, and i don't think that the slight increase in size is really going to make much of a difference compared to the other options out there (GSIII, RAZR MAXX HD, etc, etc)

It's the best because Apple says it is. Just like it is the lightest and thinnest smartphone ever.

Don't you know? Apple knows what is best and you should never second guess what they say. Just bow down to them and keep giving them money. :hail:

I think comparing apple to google is insane, sure apple has less share, they're also one company competing against everyone else. It will be a long time before any manufacturer out sells the iPhone. Things are going to balance out, in the end, apple is about profit, not releasing ten versions of the same phone per year.

So, apple is about releasing the same phone for ten years? Just not ten of the same phones in one year, got it. :p

Yes, Apple is usually pretty good about inovating new technology but they are also very good at being the first to drop older technology before everyone is done with it and it never seems to hurt them. For example, I remember when every PC still came with a 3.5" floppy drive and apple just cut them out of all of their products.

The 2 biggest things 1. when they dropped OS 9 to go to OS X which was unix based. 2. When they dropped the old Chip sets to adopt the intel chip sets. I mean these were so radically different it would have put most companies out. Apple was able to do it and rather seamlessly on top of it. I doubt a new charger/data connector is going hurt them at all.

The first one. OS 9 was a horrible attempt at an OS. They screwed up bad on that. Finally figured out by using decades old unix tech that they could do better. Rebaked reciepe

Well, let's see. HTC, Motorola, Samsung, Sony just to name a few.

Well, the RAZR and RAZR MAXX are two of the thinnest phones are the market so there are those for starters. The Galaxy SIII is thinner than the SII yet has far more features than its predecessor.

Well the razrs although thin are in pretty clunky cases height and width. I like the size of my Bionic better which looks more the Galaxy SII. On the Galaxy's just looking at the photos it hard to tell how much volume they were able to shrink out of it. I would have to look at the specs.

i think the new iphone is great, its the first 4g lte smartphone that can last a day, i use to have droid phones but i got tired of buying a new one everytime there was an update, apple atleast updates 3 generations back on there phones, it doesn't mean i don't like droids, i like the widgets and everything but i didnt like that it was so open and when i installed an app it messed up my phone, i had the galaxy nexus and i thought it was good but when i switch to the iphone 4s, it was alot better, faster, a good music player, and better battery life, and more games.

back in the days when samsung was making processors for apple, i think it was for the iphone 4, samsung couldnt make a processor to apples specs, because they didnt know how to do it, so apples processor are design and made by apple but sumsung produces it, so where am i going with this apple makes the best processors and the benchmarks between the 4s and galaxy s3, galaxy s3 wins slightly and the iphone 5 is 2 times faster and 2 times the graphics, so i would say its 2 times faster because of apples os is faster and more stable than android.

I have no idea from where you're getting your spec data. Apple says you can browse for 8 hours on 3G; There's no way you're going to get that long on 4GLTE. Apple's been rather vague and I can find no mAh rating for the iphone5's battery.

The RazrMAX is pretty much the undisputed king of 4G run time. Your iphone 5 isn't going to even come close.

Besides, I'm a little suspicious when the only two posts you've ever made have been to praise a phone you've not even held in your hand.

I agree with you. Even though he's been a member since mid 2010, there's no way he knows what he's talking about. Especially when it comes to Droids. The iPhone comes last in the battery department, that's for sure. There's no way an iPhone's battery can last longer than the worst battery in an Android phone on a bad day. Especially when you introduce 4G LTE. I just think he's an iPhone fanboy. The iPhone is just a glorified mp3 player, imo.
