I have the droid 2 bootstrap installed ive made sure its the latest. Ive gotten rom manager and have the latest CWR installed. So I have the crt file. I read that it was updated so all i had to do is run it as a rom. I proceed andhitting bootstrap. then going to RW and installing as rom no wipe of data and no back up since i cant with this new frimware. It reboots. I see the droid and the white box. No text is there. But the bar shows up. Its zoomz up to id say a good 25%. then thats it. it jus stops there. its sat there for ten minutes. i pulled the battery and re applied and turned it back on. no change no bugs after jus back to gingerbread. Its done the samething with trying to make a back up which is understandable with a new firmware.dancedroid

Hmm.....I dont know why you are having that issue. I dont have any issues like that after doing the install.

Yup after I flashed the zip, my battery had a question mark in the middle then bam. My phone shut off! I think my batt was fried. Just got a d2g as a replacement today!

problem solved

If anyone is still looking to get the crt animation working on the droid 2 i did some snooping and figured out about the easiest way possible to get this done


First take your pick of which crt you want (Thanks to Christopher Heuer who recomplied them and put them on Droid-Life, just search for crt animation and read down the posts.You will have to hit a load more comments once or twice but it's there)


Next go here Replace framework-res using RootExplorer + Bueffel black theme - xda-developers and follow the steps.


And your done, hope this help worked perfectly for me
