[ROM] CyanogenMod 9 [BETA] (DX) (8/19)

I'm having trouble getting wireless to connect. It tries to connect, and I can see it on the other end but after trying to obtain an ip it just drops the signal and tries over and over. Any ideas?

20120220 Build Notes

Ok, flashed and running for a few hours.

1. Might suggest folks format system as well for installation. I ended up having to SBF back to .602 and then install. My bad.
2. Wifi working fine
3. 3G Working fine
4. Gapps all update and working
5. Exchange mail - Not working consistently. Keep getting error message popping up "Unfortunately, Exchange services have stopped working.". Must be a background process as it keeps popping up periodically.
6. Bad battery drain 48% after 4 hours. - Not sure what that's about. Rebooted, wiped Dalvik cache and battery stats. We'll see. Battery stats says "Battery usage data not available" so I can't see what's draining it. Probably just me. As soon as I figure out how to get the smartass.2 (pardon the name) governor working on this I bet that'll help. Worked wonders on other roms.

Missing the camera but loving the CM9. Awesomesauce. Thanks again for your work. Looking forward to see more updates so we can make this a daily driver.

No need to format system... The script automagically does that...

And today... Moderate use... I'm at twenty seven percent... Been off the charter for eleven hours

"I'll get you my little pretty... And your little dog todo too"
"I don't even have a little dog todo"

Curious

I have been looking for som DX ICS goodness.

One question, will a camera from the market work or no? I seem to remember in my previous ROM adventures on MUI that camera apps from the market worked fine, just not the ROM's camera.

Has anybody else tried to sync with their Facebook account? I click on "add account" on the Accounts & Sync page, then Facebook account, but all that does is take me back to the Accounts & Sync page.

Been using this ROM for about 48 hours now and loving the ICS goodness. Came over from Liberty.
My insights:
1. Scrolling widget for Gmail and Exchange are cool and working just fine.
2. Used Nova Launcher as suggested by others, but it started to FC a lot so uninstalled.
3. Decided that some widgets from my previous ROM were slowing things down, so I paired down to must have apps and widgets. Things are working smoothly.
4. I use Wave Launcher and it works fine.
5. Screebl Pro users should try Screebl Beta in the market; was inconsistent for me, but worked when Screebl Pro didn't.
6. Since my work email (exchange) requires a PIN, there is no lockscreen available-goes right to PIN pad which is no big deal. You can set the lockscreen to delay in Settings>Security>Lock Screen.
7. Latest version of Swype works great.

Can't wait for a working camera and a vote for no led on when charging would make this my favorite ROM! Thanks Dev!!

There is an issue with ICS and the Facebook app. You will need to use something like Friendcaster from the market to get all the contacts and everything synced up properly.

Ah, thanks. I guess I shouldn't be complaining too much since I've got ICS on my Droid X lol

One issue I have is with the BT. It connects fine. Music is played through it fine. When I make a call while on BT it sounds like Darth Vader with his head in a blender. I tried deleting my BT device and rebooting & re-syncing my BT. Still get the same results.

I also have a problem with phone audio via Bluetooth. It's heavily distorted & pretty much unintelligible with both my car hands free and an old head set. Seems like the sample rate or some other audio parameters aren't quite right. Are there logs or other information I can provide to help debug the problem?

Thanks for your efforts!

Has anyone else been having trouble with WiFi on the 02202012 build? I can't seem to get WiFi turned on. It worked fine on 02182012 and 02192012

no.. the system can't read the camera... so it has to be completely redone... so no app will work... there is no camera... and probably wont be for awhile...

(also in OP)

Not sure what changes will affect you guys. When I was merging the main CM branch of frameworks into my fork of Hashcodes frameworks_base I accidentally unmerged all of his changes. This fixes that. There was a few audio tweaks in there so I'm hoping that this build will fix the garbled audio over BT.
I also fixed the sanity check (no more 100%+ battery readings).

Let me know if I broke anything please.

No luck with BT phone audio on 02212012--still garbled. But I found no obvious regressions having kicked the tires a bit. Let me know if there's any info we can collect to help out, thanks!
