People have said you can use SMS backup to backup/ restore those. pretty sure there are a coup[le to chose from in the market.

I wipe every update. So, we're both starting from scratch. Might just back them up anyway but TiBa restores them for me.

Also, GoSMS will let you export text and MMS messages to the SD card.

imma try to flash this. im not gonna restore system data but what am i losing by this? like whats in the system data and how do i restore it?

yea DJ is right...you don't restore it. i don't know what it is you're referring to...

i thought texts were part of it?

wait...if you want to restore txt messages, then i say using a free app called SMSBackup. it backs up all your txt messages on your SD card. it saves MMS and SMS too.

eh oh well, i already flashed miui, im too lazy to go back lol
however i do have one question. im trying to flash a .mtz theme eliteprohd with the theme manager and it says preparing new theme, please wait... and its stuck at 0%. its been about 5 min. the other themes didnt take this long

edit: its at 10% now... i guess this one is just really slow

LOLOL that's what usually happens when you try to backup a lot. it's always good to start fresh.

Loving the new built on launcher transitions. Very nice build, and it still boggles my little mind that you're reverse engineering this awesome ROM.

I've always used MyBackup Pro for backing up data and I think I'm gonna try MIUI backup. Does miui backup, backup data for applications?

Not to sure if I'm the only one haveing this problem, but I can't use automatic brightness with this build because it won't allow my physical keyboard to light up. But when I turn it off and mess with the slider bar the keyboard comes on, when I turn auto brightness back on the keyboard goes out...idk if its my phone or the Rom

So I deleted the dalvik cache, am I suppose to let my battery run completely dead now after the first boot up? An then charge it back up?

yeah, it appears they broke the backlight implementing the adjustable auto-brite.
