DarkSlide V4 - .340 ROM - Style, Quadrant, Linpack Champ

I just got my X today and have z4rooted and installed bootstrap and made a back up. I haven't changed any spf's or had to use sdk at all. I just want to check and make sure with those three things done (z4, bootstrap, and a back up) am I ready to go? I can't wait to get this running so thanks in advance.

I did download the spf file from tbh just in case.

Yea if you have a nandroid through Bootstrap Recovery your ready to rock!

Is there any way to make drawer transparent so you can see the wallpaper through it like the notification window? That would be the only puzzle piece graphically for me.

App wise does anyone know how to make google voice work, it's stuck on reading settings.

I know how in ADW. Go into ADW settings, UI settings, Drawer settings and then scroll down to background. After that slide the Alpha bar to the left. Further laft the more transparent. Make surw to tap the centet dot in the middle of the color wheel before backing out.

You Sir made my whole day. Now this thing is perfect. The live background with everything floating over it, and the Dock at the bottom only being the icons floating over it (my main screen is empty) is friggin awesome!!!

I am a old dog trying to learn new tricks. I've downloaded lnverted FB apk. How do I place it in system/app,how and where can I change permissions to match other files in that folder? I have facebook already installed,where are the system/app or data/app settings to rename? I tried following the steps on page 85 but I'm lost and don't want screw up my awesome dx running the Darkslide 4.2.

So sorry I missed this post. Do you have Root Explorer? If you do you put the apk file on the root of your sdcard and open Root Explorer. Then go to sdcard, long press the apk, hit copy, back out a page, go to system/apps and open. Hit the R/W button so it reads R/O and paste apk. Long press apk and select permissions. Set them to look like the pic below. Then hit the R/O button so it reads R/W. And exit.

No need for an app really...just go into settings > applications > manage applications > all...find the launcher you have set as default, and hit "clear defaults" then when you hit the home key, you will get a popup asking which to use.

Best rom I've had on any phone. It would be nice if the alarm notification icon could say the time its actually set for. I love the way it looks but I keep thinking I accidentally set it for 7:30 so I'm in my alarm app 4 or 5 times a day.... its set on a weekly schedule. Once again this is the best work I've ever seen!

And I'm glad your enjoying it. Yes the alarm can throw you off a little.

Hopefully someone will come with a way for it to show true alarm time.
