First off I don't ever recommend using ROM Manager for anything. As for renaming the file it should be named vending.apk. And you want to use the app called Root Explorer to rename it to vending.bak

Kinda thought you meant that, I just couldn't reply cause I was at work...really there is no need to rename the market apk (vendor.apk) unless the black market update won't stick...but you could even delete that renamed apk (vendor.bak) as the Black market zip will install the vendor.apk when you flash it.

I didn't think so. Even before I turned the transitions up in spare parts they were fine. They were even better when I set them to fast. The only slow one is power off for me.

You can try wiping and reinstalling...this is the first i've heard of this issue...so bear with me and i'll do my best to get you fixed...

My phone shows that Darkslide 4.2 is my current Rom but I don't see all the pretty screens that the forum shows. Am I missing something? I do have it working again. When I open my apps they all seem to be generic apps and don't show the Hot spot or spar parts icons.

Even with trans. set to fast and oc'ed 1.3ghz they were still very slow, this is by far the best bug free rom i have run but it needs a little cleanup to speed things up. hopefully we'll get that with the next update, till then liberty 1.5 it is.
This is the first complaint of this i've heard...this rom is very speedy/smooth...I don’t know why it's running slow for you...

Quite possibly its just the way my phone is set up not the rom. Im not picking on anything, Ive just compared it to the other top 5 (apex,gummy,liberty,rumm. and rubix) I luv it but it just doesnt move as fast as the others. As a side note, I had to get a new laptop because my phone was faster than the old one!
This is the first complaint of this i've heard...this rom is very speedy/smooth...I don’t know why it's running slow for you...

You know I think your wright there a saying there ius aN A$$ for every saddle I think there is a rom for every phone every phone is different and every rom will work different on every phone. I have 2 phones a D2 & DX The D2 running the Squidly rom is the fastest Had Liberty & Dark on theX not alot of difference more whistles and bells on LIberty Im looking for the Rom thats gonna be fast and stable maybe not in that order
