Deleting Emails from "Trash" folder - Help???

Emptying the Trash folder on original motorola droid

I found a great way to make this work.
Keep in mind, I use my droid to get my emails from my pop3 account but leave my email messages on my pop3 server.

Hit the menu key on the face of the phone.
Touch settings
Applications
Manage Applications
Touch the Running tab
Email
Then click the "Clear Data" button.

Be aware, this will basically wipe out the entire email account, including the trash folder.

Once you are done, just go back to the email icon on your phones desktop and set your account back up which is a 2 step process and really easy.

Now you start fresh.dancedroid

The reason they don't delete from the phone when you delete them from the PC is because POP doesn't allow it. IMAP does, but POP doesn't.

While you are correct about POP, the problem has nothing to do with that. It exists with IMAP and even more so with Exchange.
