Deleting files

I loaded a spanish dictionary to my droid x the day i got it. It filled my music with over 500 words and i want to delete them. I have tried everything and they wont go away. What now? This is really mucking up my ability to navigate my actual music. I have done it directly through the phone and also through my computer. It seems the music files are gone but the titles still remain visible?? Help please!

Can you uninstall the dictionary (app I am assuming) and then reinstall?

Also, you could try phone settings - applications - manage applications - find the app and clear data / cache to see if that removes prior to an uninstall...

Yes, I tried that. The app was uninstalled as soon as I realized it had added all of that stuff in with my music. I was finally able to clear it out yesterday. Just as an FYI, it did not work to try deleting the files as a group or even in small groups, that was just locking up my phone for up to 15 minutes with no result. They only completely disappeared if I deleted them one by one (over 500...what a pain in the ass).
