Deodexing problem

Ok here's the deal, ive read over numerous threads about deodexing and I can't figure out my problem. I've been doing the manual method and I can get through everything until the code part. It keeps telling me that I don't have permission and that the Directories are read only. Had anybody else seen this?

im not really litterite in this but if you need in the system files use root tools app and it has options to mount system as read write. also theres a .zip for the 2.3.340 you can use. i used it and it worked perfect. or if u install a rom its probly deodexed

Yeah, I'm rooted and all that jazz...I'm obviously retarded though. I figured out the problem. When I was trying to mount and stuff I wasn't pressing accept on my phone to give it su permissions....man I"m dumb lol
