Did Froyo fix the low speaker volume bug?

I listen to music via headphones on my Droid, I don't notice any difference from 2.1 to 2.2 in regards to volume. Still sucks, imo.

Not a damn difference. Only thing this update did to my X was to brick it. Getting a new one tomorrow. After the update I got a black screen with the M logo. Phone would ring, email notifications I could hear, just couldn't access the phone itself. Not a happy camper this morning.

Wow, so I never had a problem with the volume like so many but my phone is LOUD now. I am surprised at people saying they didnt fix it. My email woke me up last night.

Definitely louder - the Sound settings > Volume option actually works now.

No difference for me!!!!!!!! I still can't hardly hear when I am talking to someone so I use the speaker some and there is no difference there either!!!

Did you change your volume settings (Settings > Sound > Volume)? I had to go into that setting and manually make them louder but when I did, things got LOUD.

Almost didn't wake up this morning with the supposed Alarm.

I've gone from iPhone to DX, and the iPhone's alarm was MUCH louder. I've tried playing with different alarm sounds and none seem anywhere near as loud as iPhone. I turn the volume up as loud as it will go on DX. It sits on a table right next to my bed, so it's not like it's across the room.
