Did motorola just log into my gmail account?!

Mine puts the apostophe in can't when I just type "cant" without any problem. I think there is an auto-correct setting, maybe you have yours turned off?

The setting is checked. Are you using swype or the stock keyboard? Does it capitalize the letter I for you? I may have been wrong about "can't".

I had tried it with swype and the regular keyboard and it worked fine with "can't" for both. I find that it only auto capitalizes the "I" when I am using Swype, though.

OK, cool, I actually don't have the X in front of me at the moment so I was going from memory. Anyway, I'm just not happy with either of the keyboards that came with the X.

I'm not having this problem, either. Also using LP, and as for keyboard, I've started using Smart Keyboard Pro (mostly because of the larger space bar and arrow keys).

Got the same message

I experienced the exact same thing with my new DroidX. I set up my motoblur account widgets yesterday and this morning when accessing my gmail account i got a warning that my account had been accessed from the following IP:

At this point i am disappointed at this and will definitely take it up with Motorola. They should send out a notification to all the DroidX users letting them know this is a known issue and that they are working toward a fix.

Disappointing to say the least.
