Direct Dial Shortcuts

On my OG, I used to have the direct dial shortcuts on the home screen. I can't seem to find a way to get it on the Nexus.
I'm sure there is a way, just haven't found it yet.

It's a widget. Just go into the app drawer and scroll to the widgets section and find Direct dial widget and just drag it to the home screen and it will ask you which contact you want to choose.
