Disable GPS notifications?

Is there any way to disable the "standalone" GPS notification that pops up anytime the GPS is turned on. Sorry if this has been answered already but I didn't see anything when I looked.

Yes, don't turn it off. Because it obviously tracks your location, and because of privacy concerns, some legit some ridiculous, you get a notification that you could be tracked. Its kind of silly but blame the lawyers and frivolous law suites for this one.
