you said it didn't make the usual sound it makes when you get a notification.. was there someone who used the voice command to search for the word sex without you knowing? Haha, it does make it's own unique sound when you voice search.
Here's one along the same lines. Last night, I put my phone in its case and put it on my desk. About 2 hours later, the wife heard "talking". Turns out it was coming from my phone! I pulled it out of the case to find it locked up on the phone dialing screen. I tried to go to the home page but the thing was locked up tight. I have to shut it off and remove the battery. When I rebooted this morning, I found a call log that lasted over 2 hours!! The phone was trying to dial bogus numbers that didn't exist. Numbers like ZZldsifnseklj## faslkfnf were showing up in my call log. I also found the same jibberish in my text messaging, I had about 20 text drafts all junk. I've had this phone for a while and never had this kind of issue before. Anyone else?
You need to check your method of charging your phone. If you are using any kind of charger that is not motorola (car or wall) there could be your problem. There have been other threads that discuss how the OP thinks their phone is possessed because it will start opening apps and doing weird things all on its own. Come to find out they are either using a generic wall or car charger.
I have the Motorola charger for the phone. But, the only thing is, it wasn't on the charger when this happened! It was sitting in its case on my desk when it happened. It was holding about a 3/4 charge. So, I'm still at somewhat of a loss.

I have had my phone in my pocket before and had silly things happen... probably because I forgot to lock it. Like I was on a walk with my GF the other day and at the end I took my phone out and it was trying to navigate us to 3624 Cherry Street, the street she lives on but not her address... she was like wtf is that? I think it was the magnifying glass soft button held down and some random voice search activated it. Odd that it happened to be her road tho!
