Do you love this phone? I know I do!!

From threads on here, apparently it's better than the Nexus in just about every way except stock OS capabilities. So if you want to be first to have the newest software, Nexus is the better choice. If that doesn't matter to you, most people seem to agree the S3 is definitely worth it.

Having the Nexus from its release date it was exciting to get the latest updates from ICS to JellyBean--until you realized that said updates didn't really improve the performance of the phone.

Extraordinarily satisfied with the GSlll and not sweating the OTA of JellyBean. And I quickly learned to avoid compromising the experience by obsessing over power management--I buy a couple of extra batteries and an external charger and run all systems at the maxx.

Hmm so just had to do a battery pull today. Not sure why. It was just sitting on the charger then I go to unplug it and it wouldn't turn on....?

Now, now, this is a thread for praising the GS3 and sharing positive feedback or experiences. I really don't want this to turn into a problem solving/debate/ROM thread. :)

I suggest waiting to see if it happens again, could be an app freaked out or something. Also, sometimes phones just...act up. I don't know if this will ever change. But an occasional battery pull might actually be a good thing.

I couldn't help but notice every thread on the first page was either a question, complaint, or speculation thread. I thought we needed a refresher on how many of us actually LOVE our GS3 and aren't on the fence about if our screen will crack or how great the battery life is.

Personally, I love this phone just as much as day 1. Had an issue with the last update, but it turns out it was just a defective phone. When this phone is running as should, it is nothing short of amazing. I play a good bit of games, listen to a lot of music, use Kindle daily, on top of all the other little-fun things. Sure S-Voice isn't amazing if you try to have a convo with it, but it's great at doing the basics. S Beam is amazing in theory, shame it's just not more widespread yet. Also the dual video/desktop feature, still haven't had much of a chance/reason to use it but....still awesome.

I still get so excited whenever I have a reason to use my Galaxy S3. I love my Widget Locker lock scree/custom Swipepad set up, my Live Wallpaper, auto brightness app, scrollable widgets, and blazing 4g. But on top of all that, is the unbreakable performance. All of this without a single hiccup, all day, every day. I still easily get a strong day of use, usually at 10-20ish% by the end of the day. Regardless, the thing charges so fast I can just plug it into a charger for 10 minutes and I'm good to go.

Anyways let's hear some love for one of the best smart phones to date, one that's only set to get better and better. Feel free to share any examples where your GS3 has really saved the day, or just left a friendly :) on your face.

I absolutely love mine. I have mine extremely customized WITHOUT ROOT! I refuse to risk ruining my phone. I have apple folders n my own pics for the folders. I have not had a chance to use the sbeam or any of that cuz I don't know too many ppl that have this phone. I live n Kansas n ppl here think the damn iPhone is the end all be all till I show them MY phone! I think we should share customization ideas, if u have any questions n vice versa.

I love mine too! I love it even more since I purchased Tasker. I also have a 2300 mAh battery on the way. I didn't want to have to use an after market battery cover, so that's why I I didn't get a bigger battery. I took my case off because I love the way it feels without it. Only other phone I'd consider would be the Note II.

Also, I am actually liking touchwiz on this phone. The stock rom has so many features that I love that I went back to stock from CM10 because I missed some of the functionality.

Please post back and let us know how that 2300 works out and if you notice a big difference. 100mhz doesn't seem like it'd be worth it to me but...hey...you never know. Might make all the difference.

And I agree, I actually really liked Touchwiz. Only problem I had with it was adding widgets, way too many steps. Unfortunately I was coming from TSF Shell, which I love dearly, so I decided to go back to that. BUT, had I not spent $17 on it, I'd probably still use Touchwiz over GoLauncher or anything.

Pebble blue is awesome, but white is nice

They're both awesome but what I don't get is that every single person I ask; which looks more awesome, the white or pebble blue, EVERY SINGLE person says the white is waaayyyyyy sweeter and the blue is not good looking. My response is; I know, right?! But for some reason EVERYBODY on the forums and internet says the blue is the best and white kinda sucks.

I gotta say I'd go with white over blue any day.they're both s3's so it's BADASSS either way but it's just odd to me how you all love the blue but in real life everyone says they love the white..
Had me curious.

Went from a basic Razor to the S3 last night. Far superior if you ask me. Still learning. If any of you have any tips or tricks, post or IM me. All my iphone owning employees around me are feeling jelly today. :i-m_so_happy:

got rid of the Swpe feature which I hated and turned it off .....seems better aready

Yeah the stock swype keyboard isn't that great. I use Swiftkey 3, which is amazing.

I highly recommend an app called Swipepad. One of my most frequently used features and it can make people's jaw drop. Also check out the "tips and tricks" thread on the main page. Not tons of posts, but some good stuff, and the link in the OP is full of good information.

Also, I can't say I've ever personally asked white or blue, but just about everyone at my work is obsessed with my phone now. They say it looks so sleek and are amazed at how light it is, even in my case. So I don't think it really matters which is better, because I don't think it's possible to determine. I'm just not a fan of the white and really like the blue, but most of all, I don't give a crap what others think. As soon as I browse the internet with a video playing on the top, people forget all about what color it is. :happy3:
