Go to messages, hold ur finger on the screen where u type, and go to input method. If you have the keyboard checked it should be on the list of keyboards to use.

Haven't been on here for a week or so, wish I hadn't missed out on the T9 deal. I logged on cause I've been having issues with swype not working...I can finger press letters but can't "swype" until I change the input to stock and then back to swype.

So I spent the money for Flex T9 and so far so good! Word recognition seems way better than swype at least.

Flex T9 Speak doesn't work on my TB

For some reason, Flex T9's speech to text feature absolutely will not work on my Thunderbolt. The gesture and shape based parts work, and the window for voice dictation will come up, then stay on for 20 seconds and disappear. Text never appears. Is anyone else having this problem? (In the meantime, I've switched back to SwiftKey.)

I love Swype on my Bionic, but can't figure out how to get to numbers inside my message? Also, acronyms i.e., FBI or IRS -- what's the trick there?

I don't care for Swype at all on the Tbolt. It works great and all, but the phone is too big to use Swype with any comfort (and even worse with an exteneded battery). Before I got Swype, I complained like crazy that "Tbolt users get the shaft on all the cool stuff", which is still kinda true. It's like the TBolt is this oddball Andriod phone that no one wants to make accessories for or release the latest and greatest ROM. But once I got the Beta for Swype and tried it, I didn't like it! Oh, irony! Personally, I switch back and forth between ThumbKeyboard and SwiftkeyX. I like ThumbKeyboard the best, but something isn't right with my setup and I can't figure it out. I think I need to wipe and reinstall it. So, I use SwiftKeyX. The problem w/ the TBolt in general is that the screen is just way too sensitive, even w/ a protector. I'm a fast typer, and because it's so sensitive, I make TONS of mistakes. Drives me nuts actually. I'm gonna start a thread about it if I don't find an answer here.

Dunno know about the TBolt, but my bionic freezes up at times while I Swype a reply. If I can thumb-enter the acronym and add it in my dictionary, it will sometimes recognize the term in Swype, but not always. Also, just like my PC, it does freeze up and require rebooting. Not surprising, I guess.
