Dolphin Browser Malicious?!??

So how effective is the lookout security app? That's what I have installed on my Droid. Or the Norton Anti-virus app?

Do they really work? I usually have that app running and I have not seen anything different other than the same "Lookout is scanning App X, App X is safe."

I really like the gestures and features on the Dolphin. I have used it for about a week. I have not experienced crashes like the OP has.

I've have had the Dolphin browser since day one and I haven't seen anything odd about it, I think it's just like a lot of software on this OS, it needs time to mature.

Ok, I thought it was me....I only installed Dolphin because I could use it to download youtube videos to my Droid. But since then, my phone does have a slight lag and I keep getting random updates for Dolphin Browser after I've already installed the update. Well, I'm gonna delete it and run the anti-virus software and see what that does.

I’ve tried Dolphin but removed it shortly after – too many bugs.
Never had any issues with my phone nether before nor after the Dolphin installation.
In fact I have never had to pull a battery.

I've only downloaded the updated Dolphin Browser and have had no problems with it whatsoever. No Mal-ware here....

I have dolphin installed, but not as my default browser.
I use it for surfing, though.
No problems on Android 2.0 or 2.0.1 as of yet

dolphin browser issue

I'm looking at this forum because I had a suspicious thing happen recently w/dolphin: I was using my default Droid browser to log in to my bank account, which it did. But every time I went to look @ statement breakdown, dolphin would kick in and ask me to log in...after this, I deleted it. A huge portion of my memory returned and my Droid was much faster. In other words, I am being "cautious"...

I have Dolphin installed, but I've never been able to get it to work. It just locks up. No pages load. Update didn't help. I keep meaning to uninstall it, but I keep forgetting. I want to ditch it and try some other browser.

Installed it first time in mid December. Made my phone laggy as hell. Unistalled. Reinstalled after reading about major redo a couple weeks ago. Worked great for a day. Has refused to open since. IMO, it's either poorly written or just doesn't get along with my particular phone/app combo. Probably the latter.

No problems with lag or reboot on my Droid (non-rooted). I've had Dolphin since December and it's what I use most.

I have not updated to the most recent version yet, due to some comments in the market about it opening new links into existing windows. Since I keep several pages open and logged in constantly, that would drive me nuts.
