Dolphin update deals final blow!

I like how while reading news text (example, Chi Trib and Wash Post, IGN) no matter how much zoom/magnification is used the displayed text is automatically adjusted to fit the screen. Portrait or landscape. Dolphin is now default. Also, double tap for full screen! PS works here as well.

All that seems to be missing from Dolphin is Google's new "near me now" link. For some reason Dolphin just does not display it so for now I just can't go 100% Dolphin.

Do love it though.

xScope has become my default at the moment. I like the pin zoom feature that it has and way it handles tabs.

100% Dolphin but I'm looking forward to Fennec. Competition improves the bread. :icon_ banana:

IF Fennac ever comes out, personally I've abandoned hope... they have been RIDICULOUSLY slow in development:mad:. It's been over a year since their first (pc based) beta/debugger was released and they done virtually nothing since....

ok just tried it. NOT IMPRESSED at all! seems like nothing has changed. the main reason i didnt like Dolphin before is that the scrolling and pinch zoom is not smooth and is very "choppy". this is the reason why i did and will continue to stick with the stock brower.

oh well

I just heard Opera mini is on the maket, has anyone tried it yet? I also have gotten use to using Dolphin but still like the stock browser for when i am trying to locate a business close to me like typing in Home Depot on stock browser first ones listed are the ones by me on Dolphin all i get is their website thru google

Personally I am not a fan of pinch zoom. The double tap is so nice as you only need one hand to run the browser. With pinch you have to hold it with one hand and the pinch with the other. Not very efficient in my book.

one of the comments on the market for the new dolphin upgrade is that there's ads now, is this not true?

Just did a quick search on the market. Looks like there is a Dolphin Browser Plus plug-in that you buy for $4.99 if you want to have the ads removed....

I don't like Dolphin. It seemed slow and unresponsive to me. But keep in mind I'm 57 years old so change doesn't come easy.:)

Go away kid. (Still have a rotary phone in your house?) :icon_ devil:
I'll have you know that I have VoiP in my house, although I don't know why I don't need it.

I just like the stock browser better. But if Dolphin works better for you then that's just the way it is. That's what makes it so great if may work for one but blow chunks for someone else.:)

i agree. the stock browser is much smoother. scrolling on this phone is already bad enough, i dont need to slow it down more with Dolphin
