so am i running the .exe file from my comp or copying it to my sd and running it from the phone?

I ran it directly from the computer. Just connect phone to computer with USB, set mode (both sync and hard drive seem to work), click on the downloaded .exe file and that's it. I did not copy anything to the SD card.

I've got to ask: how is memory handling? This was what killed my rooted attempts to get Gingerbread on my OG Droid. I am so spoiled with the memory handling on my Dinc2 that I'm worried that Gingerbread's going to spoil that and my music app will get killed when I open up a couple other apps, etc.

I have not experienced any memory issues. I usually have a lot of apps open at a time, and have had no problems.
