I just used my Ipod adapter cord and connected the Droid 2 just like the ipod to my cars stock stereo.
I have a Mark Levinson system that came with the car and it sounds awesome. Otherwise I would have installed a custom system.
It also works in my b/f car. I wonder if you need to look at the Pioneer manual and adjust settings there? I don't have any media player apps, just what came with the phone. I also haven't changed the media player settings and it works in both cars.
That makes me think Pioneer has a special setting you need to enable. Probably just that simple.
Sounds like you're talking about the 3.5mm headphone jack, as that's the only cable that fits an iPod and a Droid. He' using the USB port, which won't work. It has to do with the way Android mounts the device first when you plug it in via USB.
