Droid 1 for sale: $553,000!

Jim,

Sorry to hear about you losing your job.

How is everything going? It's been a few days since you posted in this thread.

Took the opportunity to apply for unemployment online yesterday. Today I need to call the bank as we're in our trial period for making payments on the house, trying to get our mortgage readjusted. Hopefully they will lower the payments even further or we're hosed.

Besides that, cleaned out half the garage, painted the tire changer, and today I'm going to swap on slicks to one of the track bikes and get it ready to sell.

Sorry to hear...

After 28 years you've paid into the system enough to let it help support you while you get back on your feet... this is exactly what it's for: hard working people with hardships.

I had the same thing happen to me about 2 years ago... was out of work for 6-8 months, came back and now I'm making 3x as much in a middle management role as opposed to the job that laid me off. Keep your head up bro, things will turn around.

Oh, and be careful on that ride... wouldn't want to do anything scary in the heat of the moment, after all you do still have your health. :)
It's nice to hear a good story for a change.

As some of you know my wife is working in Virginia after losing her job that she worked at for 15 years. The company announced record breaking profits this year, please do not buy L'Oreal Products.

I see here every two weeks if I'm lucky, but we can't move because we have no equity in the house and selling it would be next to impossible.

sorry bout your bad luck bro it happens to the best of us.

I got three gixers to choose from ;)

i am happy to have 1 cbr600rr couldn't imagine 3 but hey if there is no sentimental value you got a few house payments right.

Yeah, my wife's job cut her from 32 hrs/week to 4, and with a 66 mile round trip commute... why bother. Her boss refuses to fire her though.

That way he doesn't have to pay unemployment. Crappy thing to do, but it's legal.

Good luck, man! I had to live with family because right now I'm getting zero work, so I feel your pain.

Sorry to hear this Jim, 28 years is a long time. All I can say is there will be a better opportunity for you. Good luck and keep your spirits up, I know it will be hard.

Thats no good

I lost my job in Feb and have been struggling since then to keep up with bills. I just gave in and moved somewhere cheaper....i miss my old place near the ocean :(
