Droid 1 Stuck in bootloader

Hi,
I recently got a droid 1 that is stuck on the bootloader. I tried a bunch of stuff to fix it (flashing SBF files, flashing roms from recovery, flashing backups from recovery etc) but I can never get it past the bootloader after the motorola logo.
Does anyone have any ideas of what to try??

A little more information:
When trying to flash full sbfs (using RDS lite 5.3.1 with version 5.2 of the moto drivers) i always get "error switching to bp pass through" errors. Flashing recoveries works fine though...
I've tried the linux boot CD method too, and while it gives no errors, it doesn't seem to do anything other than rewrite the recovery with the stock one (still boots to the bootloader)
