Droid 2 Global - Display screen

Hello. Sometimes my phone's display screen turns off and then I hit the unlock/power button and then the display would come on for a second or two and then turn off again. This only happens sometimes. What could be causing the issue? Thanks

Check settings>display>pocket detection

If it is enabled try unchecking it.

Do you have a screen protector installed? I had this issue, too. The screen protector was blocking the sensors from doing their job. You can download an app called 'Sensor Test' to see if the sensors are reading correctly. I ended up having to cut the top part of the screen protector off. The sensors are to the left of the earpiece.
