Droid 2 global is not updating GB?..

So I've been trying to dl/install GB for my droid 2 global since yesterday.

It downloads fine, but when I tape Install, the phone restarts and installs to about 40%, then an "exclamation mark" (!) pops up and the phone reboots saying "Update Failed".

Last night, I did a factory reset, and tried to install again, but had no success.


What do I do?

You probably rooted your phone.

You can try flashing SBF and then updating.

Well, did you ever root your phone? (If not, then you probably don't need to SBF, which is to install a file which sets the phone back to "factory fresh")

The SBF procedure is explained in, for example, http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-2-global-hacks/112313-official-d2g-sbf-tbh.html

although you can find later links by searching to a more up to date SBF file (.330).

If you haven't rooted, this might not help.
