Exactly. Downloaded it, renamed it, moved it to SD card.

If you try to extract the files (or test the archive) - do you get any errors? I wonder if your browser is playing you tricks. Update is valid (I used it myself) and should work just fine on stock phone. Maybe try to use another computer to download it again?

I just recieved a new phone from Verizon (another droid 2 global) on .330 ..

Its not rooted or anything; I downloaded the GB leak and renamed it to update.zip put it on my sd card but cant install it.

In stock recovery it says ''signature not valid'' or something like that.. What do I do?

Follow leobg's suggestion about the update file, if that still fails: Is this a refurb? If so, it's possible it isn't really stock (should be, but....) I would try doing a factory reset and try again. If that fails I would do an SBF and then retry the update.

Going to try that, hopefully that works. Nothing else seems to work.

Didnt work.. I sbf'ed and it didnt work.

dont extract, dont rename it. you can take it and choose an update from zip files(on clockwork) and do that. ive done it with GB leak, CM and HeXen
