Droid 2 Issues

Hi, my friend is having Droid 2 issues. Her phone won't make or receive calls, and it can't check the voicemail. Also the texting is messed up. When she texts (not sure if its the physical keyboard, virtual, or both, but it inputs the same letter she presses multiple times so texts come out "llliiikkkeeeee tthissss". Verizon is already sending her a new Droid 2 but she might give me her Droid 2 so I'm curious as to whether or not I could fix this issue myself with a factory reset (something she won't let me do until her new one comes in". Any thoughts?

That's the best thing to try, there are no guarantees though.

dang nevermind, forgot verizon takes the phone back when you get a refurbished one.

I'd give it a shot right before turning it in, for the free education. You might be committed to the new phone, but you might be able to save someone the trouble later. You already started a thread, please let us know if you decide to give it a whirl.
