Droid 4 Utility Updated

When pushing I get an error code
"failed to copy 'files\D4OTA.zip' to '/mnt/sdcard-ext//D4ota.zip': Permission denied"
I have no clue what I'm doing wrong..

Yes. This is the same computer I used to flash the other leaks.

I had a similar issue trying to root after going from .212 to .213. Ended up being a driver issue for me. Just reflashing the drivers didn't seem to fix it. What I did was plug the phone in to the computer, connect as USB mass storage, install the motocast software (which also installs drivers AND takes forever) then switched back to a camera mode connection. At that point the utility recognized my phone and I was able to run the ICS root script. Not sure WHY it worked but might want to give it a shot.

Would it give an error if it doesn't recognize a phone or does it just close?

The tool should just run with the menu showing. Not sure why it would just close. When you first open the tool it will kill any adb server running (just in case you were running some other tool, or manually in adb) and then just restarts adb.

The original Razr utility works, which I used to flash 211 but your tool doesn't work. I want to use your tool since it has the option to save data.

That is strange, the tool should start up even without a phone connected. In first part of the script in put in the D4 tool came out of the razr tool. Everyone behind the original D4 tool and razr tool deserve the credit for this all in one. I just repackaged it up. You can try coping my script into the same folder as the razr tool. The fastboot of GB should run just fine. If not maybe the script file was damaged some how in the download.

Sorry I don't know enough about mac's to do one up. I would only do so if I could test it first and I don't own a mac. I tested the changes the tool on my own phone before posting or changing.

Working out a shortcut in the script to jump from one leak to another. Just need to do a few edits, should have it up in about a 1/2 hour or so. Jumping from 211 to 213. Rebooting now after 213 install only took 35 minutes...including the time to dump the update file on my sdcard.

Ok it took me a little longer, just finished revising the instructions. I changed the file named of 213 to avoid confusion, it will take it a few minutes to upload.

The best change is that the flashing of the GB files and the 213 boot.img are in one step now.
