Droid Bionic heading towards Verizon

well that ends the debate cuz the powerpoint did not say 1ghz processor... looks as if moto needs to fix their website.

Everyone keeps talking about not wanting this phone because it has a locked bootloader but I think people are going to be in for a world of upset when there won't be another phone released truly as unlocked as the D1.

It's not a locked bootloader that deters me - there are workarounds for that. It's the booby-traps, like the eFuse, which amount to criminal sabotage that make me refuse to have anything to do with a Motorola product again.

i just watched that video from engadget and he says something about supporting 'smart' docks... i wonder if even with the bigger screen it will support the other phones laptopdock and stuff.

NVM, i just checked the HDMI and USB ports on the phones and they are reversed from eachother :(

The ATRIX is on the bottom, the BIONIC is on the top :(

I agree but as mentioned before the locked bootloader on recent Moto phones has been a "feature" of the tI soc. Hopefully Tegra will be easier to get around.

Gawd, I hope you're right! I will be have to be "stuck" with my D1 otherwise...

I hear ya on that one, but has anyone confirmed an eFuse in any of the moto devices? I am not saying they aren't there, I just have never heard of anyone having an issue with an eFuse.

Correct. It took awhile to get the HTC Incredible but it was done and can be done unless they pull some nonsense like efuse. I still want the Bionic but will be buying an HTC Thunderbolt as well. Who wants to wait till Q2.

It has Blur. A new version of Blur.

from DroidLife hands-on:

We have video on the way, so that you can all get a full look at this device and its new version of Blur which actually impressed us a little. It has a few new tweaks to the UI that we haven’t seen on any Android device before, but only real hands-on time will prove if it’s worth keeping active.

I called it.

Locked Bootloader
Blur
512MB Ram.

There's always something. smh.

Anyone else notice the cool rotation animation in Engadget's hand's on video? I've always liked the way iOS did that, I hope this is going to be a standard feature for Android too.

Oh I had a real big issue with the little surprise package I found in my Droid X, but I'm not going to rehash it again. I've recounted my issues with Motorola over a number of threads, and won't take up space here going over it again. The problem, and the eFuse is real.

dang, again I am not saying they aren't real. I have never taken the time to read about them because I have the D1 so I truly have no idea what they do. I mean I know what they are supposed to do but have never read about anyone have something happen because of them.
