One of my favorite tech video stars, Mr Brownlee, posted a photo on twitter of the new Droid Z and the 2009 Motorola Droid. And as we come upon 7 years of droid-ing we have all had different experiences with the Verizon Droid line. Some of us have been on board since the beginning, other before, and some after.

What was you top 3 favorite Droid phones you have owned over the years. And by droid I am referring to the Verizon android line that had the Droid branding. This includes the lesser known Droid Eris (which was overshadowed by its cousin) and the HTC Incredible (which was later made a Droid-line phone).

What was your favorite Droid commercial?

Feel free to share other Droid moments below as we celebrate 7 years of Droid Does.

I never had the pleasure of owning a Droid but I am contemplating it if the Note 7 doesn't wow me.... I will say when the Droid commercials first came out everyone thought I was nuts because at the time I had an iPhone but still walked around saying "DROID"....

This was my favorite. I love the ending, "...on the ever expanding Android Market, when there is no limit to what Droid gets, there is no limit to what Droid Does" as the spheres explode.

I had a Palm Pre+ during the initial droid craze, but moved to a Droid Bionic on its release day.

My Gmail notification sound is still "Droooooiiiid!"

I only had the Droid and Droid 2 Global (sent Droid 2 in for RMA and I got the Global as a replacement).

The Droid 1 was my absolute favorite though. Even with the android phones I had after that such as the HTC Thunderbolt and so on, the OG Droid had everything I wanted at the time. I still have it. Might power it on just for fun after seeing this thread :)

The Droid Bionic is what brought me to DroidFourms. I had the Droid X and the X2 before that. I loved all of my Droid phones.

7? Seems longer. I guess because so much as changed and advanced in those 7 years. I went with the HTC Droid Eris back in 1999 because the Moto Droid felt like a Volkswagen in my pocket! Plus I've never seen the necessity of a physical keyboard, though I have considered phones since with them.

I had the original Droid...Droid 3 and now a Droid Turbo. I loved the OG...tons of customization on that thing with the unlocked bootloader and easy rooting process. Had that thing clocked to 1.2ghz at one point...broke it and my CLNR couldn't handle that speed. But loved it nonetheless.
The D3 was everything I loved about the OG but better. It worked smoother...less need for over clocking and felt better in hand and was a little bigger.
After that I had a couple Samsung phones but came back for the Turbo. It's a solid device, but has not wow'd me.

I'll probably be getting the note 7 when it comes out. The Droid Z looks interesting but as a brand the droid line isn't doing it. I will say if there was a 5.7in Droid with a stylus I'd jump on it. But I am missing the s-pen from the note 3 I had. Plus a little larger phone would be nice again.

I only had the Droid X2. I liked it because the charging port was on the side and great for my car dock. Made the wires less cumbersome. Also liked the home dock.
