droid lagging and getting slow

It seems since the new update my phone is lagging and has slowed down a lot, when sliding the keyboard the screen takes a while to come on and the slide to unlock thingamagig is chopped and screwy opening the menu is slow and it laggs, it used to be so fast, any suggestions? I have 20 apps other than the default ones 2.1 put on there.....and is there anyway to uninstall google goggles and the news and weather app 2.1 update put on?

Try doing a battery pull for 30 seconds. That fixes a lot of lag issues. If that doesn't work you may have to try a factory reset. Pre-installed apps can only be deleted if you are rooted.
