^Well there must be an actual reason.
Thats like saying I hate Toyota....ummm, just because.
Not trying to be an ass.....just curious.
One thing is AutoCAD will not run on the OS.
I use Cad for work, no Cad, no use for it.

The one thing I find wrong with the iphone is it's an apple product.
Dude, you are jaded. I had an iPhone before This and it crashed all the time. Yeah, I could take it to the Apple store, 50 miles away and wait for hours for help. That was a huge bonus. WTF are you smoking? I could only change the hime screen, then once I unlocked the device I had the same stupid black screen as everyone else. I guess if I wanted to sit there and look at my lock screen I can see what you are talking about. I actually don't believe you own any of the Android devices.^Well there must be an actual reason.

^Lol, why? The company, software or hardware?
I happen to think hardware wise, Apple products have a much nicer "fit and finish", Ive also never had a major issue with an Apple product, between ipods, iphones, Macbooks and such. Plus the warranty is much better, 1 year standard on all products where you can (if close enough) walk into a store for an issue.
Ive swapped my droid twice now since getting it for hardware failures.
The software isnt for everyone, I happen to like OSX much better than Winbox....but thats me, all depends on the user. OSX is much more optimized and worry free (with regards to viruses and spam) than Win.
I dont agree with some of the business practices and decisions of Apple....the "short leash" they keep on everything, but thats always been Apple.
They must be doing something right however, being the only company in the US with 0 debt and always hugely increasing profit margins.
Yeah, and they are getting those profit margins by doing business right and not raping the public. The same could not be said for Apple. The big red machine is a good company that really knows how to market and make people like the OP'er think they are getting a great deal. Well, keep buying those Apple products, I am going with the Android technology until something better comes along.^Lol, why? The company, software or hardware?

Maybe you enjoy getting spoon fed, They are the only company with 0 debt? hahaha thats great, your really shot kid, you must like to be spoon fed and not know your finances. TROW ISRG EBAY LFC TXN ATVI for god sakes even Bed Bath and Beyond has no debt. That made me laugh, you made my night man. All those companies have huge profit margins as well.
^Haha, well now we're getting somewhere.
PS- You actually could run autocad in OSX.....if you wanted/needed too.

OK, I love my droid eris, it's a great phone, BUT, it has crashed 4 or 5 times in the 2 months I've owned it. Every time it has happened, a hard reset was required to get my phone to even boot up. After reading numerous posts and talking to Verizon reps, I have the suspicion that apps or app upgrades are the cause.
You mean just like virtually everything else for sale in the U.S.?So it's downloader beware with no policing and no possible recourse for those of us who download a bad app. In other words, anarchy.
It's really very simple. With freedom comes risk and with flexibility comes complexity. Apple already had one end of the spectrum locked up and not even Google was going to beat them at their game so Google went in pretty much the opposite direction, (in a way, replaying the PC vs. Mac Battle). Which is better? Well, I've been using Linux for 15+ years and rooted my Droid right away. Heck I've even got a Zaurus 6K so the decision was pretty clear for me. That said I can certainly understand why someone would want the more confined but also more polished IPhone. It's a nice piece of geear and especially shines if you also have a Macbook and like Itunes. Really though I'm just happy that we have such good choices today. For years the best we had were Wince and Palm both of which frankly sucked. In my opinion, Google and android, in their quest to advertise XX thousand apps and suck in unsuspecting users, have either overlooked this or turned a blind eye. Bad news to us droid owners.

Could be, or it could be that your phone is broken in some way. Although I've had apps crash on my Droid I've never had one bring the rest of the system down with it. Maybe I've just been lucky.
