Is there a way to check phone memory? For the first time ever, I clicked on a widget and it said can't open due to low memory, 40mb available.

Whats this mean? Whats the max, and how can I check how much I have? Its not storage memory, because I have 167mb left on that.

I have gotten that error once as well.

Try an app called ES Task Manager. It contains a 1x1 Widget that gives you some memory feedback. Not sure if it is exactly what you're looking for.
